In case you missed it: Cover Reveal by A&E Kirk

10300771_713582232011488_6078462323518518468_nA&E Kirk are the best-selling Mother/Daughter writing duo of YA Paranormal Romance Thrillers loaded with action, adventure, twists and turns, and huge doses of humor. They write about dangerous supernatural creatures, hot guys, and sassy heroines full of snark.
Alyssa loves animals (the family has two dogs, a cat, and a horse), anime, music, and action-packed movies, plays board games, watches too much TV about supernatural beings and starring hot guys (preferably shirtless), and adores carbs so forces herself to exercise.
Eileen loves much of the same stuff (other than anime, although she does enjoy the one where the characters often say, in a highly dramatic voice, "Dammit!"), has been happily married to the same guy for almost 30 years (prefers him shirtless), raised (barely survived) three crazy but adorable kids, and loves to cook (mostly things with chocolate).

No Memory. No Mind. No Mercy.
Kiara Blackwood has a few problems.
She's older than she looks--by several centuries. She can't remember who she is. She doesn't know why she's the target of Oleander, an immortal serial killer, or why she's held prisoner by the undead, or where to find the Midnight Poison, the one thing that could grant her freedom. And best of all, her psych meds have stopped working, because, oh yeah, she's borderline insane. Well, maybe not so borderline.
When Oleander's killing spree threatens to rip the supernatural world apart, Kiara has no choice but to hunt him down. Forced to rely on a dashing vampire with questionable motives, she plunges into a world of lies, betrayal, deadly deceptions, and secrets that could tear what's left of her mind to shreds. ARC: Bear Knuckle Kodiak (Ultimate Shifting Championship)

BBW Roxy Jacoby needs a change.

She's tempted fate for too long as a bear shifter living in the city and after a close call with her unruly bear, she decides to move into the wild for the first time in her life. She heads to work at Cash Loggings, a logging company exclusively for shifters. It seems like a shifter paradise but the reality is anything but.

Bear shifter, Wyatt Griffin, is thrilled.

Cash Loggings is hiring their first batch of female employees in over three generations. His friends all have mates and with twenty-three women arriving in town one of the has to be his mate. Right? Right???

Roxy quickly catches Wyatt's eye, but he's not the only one who finds the curvy bear shifter irresistible.

A far more powerful and downright evil shifter has bonded to her as well. And Wyatt and his Kodiak bear will have to fight in the cage for the new woman who has his heart against an opponent who he can't possibly beat on his own.

No cliffhanger. HEA. Includes graphic sex and violence (hell yeah). Books 1-3 are included in this file before book 4 starts. Enjoy!

***STARS: 3***

This was an okay read. The world Fox set up was exciting and awesome. It's not every day that you come across a town just for shifters, you know? So the beginning hooked me in good. I got anxious, needing to devour the half naked guys (cause what shifter bundles up? Come on now) and when Roxy gets there with her bus of female workers, things heat up. No females except the ones already mated are in town, so a lot of the men are pumped at the thought of some femininity being blown in.

tv happy dancing fun excited

And then of course it gets only better with the dorky Wyatt, hot as he is, attempting to pick up all the girls with his lame lines and 'good source' of scoring with the opposite sex. He was definitely not something I was expecting, but in a way it was endearing and kinda cute.

I won't spoil it, but I will talk about the things I need to, just to get my point across on why this isn't a five-star book for me.

alan rickman unsure shrug i don't know dunno

Aside from the great setup and cool cat characters, things went down-hill when I saw how desperate Wyatt was with getting a girl. It's not a bad thing, it just changed my expectation of the type of romance I'm used to reading about. I'm nitpicking, but his character pretty much started losing my interest from here. It got worse for me, mostly because he isn't what I was used to. And it's not THAT, it's- God, how do I explain it without spoiling it for you?

queue reaction s yourreactions speechless no words

A lot of this is new territory for me because for once the guy isn't this confident, smooth alpha. Take in the rest of how things were handled, and the stars just sorta disappeared for me. Her bear needed comfort, and it found that in Wyatt, but it felt rushed. And the other guy who bonds with her? He didn't have much depth, and it would've been cool to really see a bit more of him to have that effect of 'oh shit, she bonded to two' and not 'ooo drama'. I was so annoyed with the way certain things were going on as I read that I actually rooted for the big lug. Of course, he- yeesh. The ending is what pretty much sealed it. I didn't like what they ended up doing, but it was still an overall entertaining read, if not a bit personally disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends, but if you like shifter romance with a different style of characters, try it out.

Melody Anne's Billionaire Kindle Universe: Devoured

Scarred and disillusioned by his ex-wife's betrayal, gorgeous and powerful billionaire Luca Valencia has become even more ruthless in the corporate arena and unapologetically heartless when discarding women who mistakenly think they're the ones to change him.

But for his young daughter, he's willing to risk marriage for the second time.

However, it would be on his terms, and he decides to take a leaf out of his friend Rafe's book by hiring a woman carefully screened for his needs.

That woman is Vivian Day, whose innocence makes her a trustworthy companion for his daughter... and whose desperate circumstances would make her unable to afford saying no to his proposition.

Giphy excited yes applause clapping

Not surprisingly, this made me cry like a little bitch. T_T Devoured is Luca Valencia's story, friend to Rafe Palazzo (Book 1: Surrender), who inspires him to hire a wife for his four-year-old daughter, Eula. Enter Vivian Day, employee at a cleaner's company he will soon own.

Vivian is about as kind-hearted and gullible as they come, and after weeks of talking with her, he decides that she has the potential to be what he needs: a mother and wife who understands her place. Their relationship had already developed when the book began, so I didn't really get to be in the moment. XD I could only imagine what falling for him every day must have been like for her.

When she's propositioned (after a hilarious amount of misunderstanding) in his office, things quickly get hot and before I know it, I'm enjoying their hot, steamy sex scenes.

Three months into the future, and the couple's been happy and content with their little family. Until Rafe accidentally riles up Luca's fear of repeating history and he decides to divorce her.

This was a very fast-paced romance but didn't pull any punches with the heartache and drama. Well, not that much drama, because a lot of it's all at the end just before the HEA. Ms. Tee wrote Luca and Vivian's POVs beautifully with both of them exerting different emotions that totally hit my heart more than a handful of times. The balance of happiness and drama was a little off for me, however, mainly because it goes from things running smoothly with understanding and hope, to a crashing force of devastation and insecurities, and then a wringing of anxiety-

UUGGHHH!!!! Their restaurant scene was the hardest to swallow. You go from thinking you have time to enjoy their time together and then- SLAP -he freezes up and divorces her. DIVORCES HER. He felt so foolish with his first wife, that he completely disregards the time and understanding she gave him since the day they met. All of the sweet shit I just read- gone. Vanished in a puff of smoke blown away by the northern winds.

I live for the heartache, but I seriously think this was a bit jarring for my heart (or maybe I am just being a little bitch, I don't know yet). Three months and a few weeks of growing love and genuine interest were condensed in paragraphs. The pain of having that trust broken was stabbed into every word in a number of pages. Made things feel a little off kilter because of it, but since I got my rocks off and I fucking adore nearly everything this author's written, you can see why it's sill 5 out of 5.

Take into account the 'slight' imbalance I felt, and it's a 4.5 rounded up to 5. It's a very hardcore-what-the-fuck-give-me-more recommend for this read. I loved the writing style, loved the plot and the way it tore into my heart with its teeth.

ARC: Rough Rider

He's the worst person I know.
And the best thing that ever happened to me.

My life used to be empty. I was restless, bored, and stuck at a job I hate. Then my co-worker took me to that new bar and my life turned upside-down.

That's when I met him.

Big, strong, and cocky as hell... if you know what I mean.

I didn't know he was in a gang. I didn't know he was dangerous. And I didn't know the next time we met he would be saving my life.

But now I'm in danger, and I have to stay with him for two days.

Lucky me, right?

I didn't know what I wanted until I met her. Cute, curvy, and the best fuck of my life. This woman is everything and more.

But it wasn't supposed to keep going. It was supposed to end at that bar. And we were definitely never supposed to see each other again.

Now she's in danger and I'm the one who made that happen. I'm going to keep her protected. I'm going to get her back alive.

And in the meantime, I'm going to make sure she's mine.

Rough Rider is a full-length bad boy romance novel with NO CLIFFHANGERS and NO CHEATING. It contains dark themes, a happy ending, and some of the hottest sex you'll ever read!

jennifer lawrence reactions whatever nodding mmhmm

After reading this book, I certainly didn't feel the things the synopsis promised. She was a woman needing something better than the life she didn't like. He was a guy who wanted her. That's not exactly what I got.

reactions kristen stewart yes okay k

What I got instead was a woman who felt like she was contradicting herself despite knowing better and a man who ended up being rather vulnerable and dense. These are just my personal problems so it's nothing against the story; if anything, it may add to it, showing that not all of us are perfect no matter how Hollywood our lives may seem.

Main thing I'm trying to communicate here is that these characters changed before my eyes VERY quickly, and it gave me whiplash, because at times I felt a bit ambushed. But again, I might have done it to myself in assuming things. And you know what they say about assuming...

Real housewives of Atlanta tv rhoa phaedra parks oh well

This book started off really great. I was excited with meeting these characters, seeing them hook up, and finding each other all over again thanks to Fate. The club scene was very hot and it curled my toes (holy shit), and it really just set the bar high for the rest of the story tbh.

Merryn's this young woman who knew what she wanted and didn't put up with other people's crap except for when she was dealing with her boss and co-worker (aka boss's son). Jake was a man who gave up a lot to keep his sister and himself safe, and although they lived in a rough neighborhood, he seemed to have a lot of good things going for him. However, as soon as they met up again, things started to go downhill for me.

Her fearlessness in being brash and often times extreme contrasted with the way she thought (which effected the way she chose to act upon it). Because this book took on their POVs, I had to listen to her submit to her fears of NOT HAVING A JOB and I really couldn't swallow her taking the abuse from her boss and Craig aka ex-sliiiiime..... I just didn't understand how someone feisty like her could take it lying down. Maybe I'm just used to reading about feisty girls who have no down moments. I don't know. It just didn't make sense at the time and it killed the enjoyment for me.

Like, come on! Was she really so beaten down that she'd rather SUCK IT UP and actually WORK for a piece of shit trash like Silver? And I'm sorry, but she was very self righteous with the way she judged Jake. But she'd work for scum and swallow it?

KingfisherWorld upset disappointed cricket ipl

As for Jake, who first started off as this cool guy who handled his problems, he began to turn into a more complicated character. Now I love complications, and I get that he had insecurities just like everyone else, but it was unexpected. He acted and thought one way, but give him a girl who could possibly love him, and suddenly he's thinking that he's only good for one thing: providing the D.

what confused really seriously not amused

I want to argue with him, that he's better and worth more than fucking these women eight ways to Sunday, but it's really hard to do so when he's having sex with Merryn almost right after he hashes out his low self-esteem. Every. Time. It was confusing. And another thing that bugged me was his intense feelings about being used by Merryn and his gang. I could see his doubt with Merryn, but the gang was supposed to be his second family (he says so in the beginning) so I really felt blindsided by this new development. If anything, I always get tripped up when I'm reading a person's POV because I'm in their head, and it just doesn't feel right not hearing whatever problem happens to come up. It feels like it got pulled out of thin air.

And this was my major problem. They can have issues to deal with, they can have that inner conflict and become better people for overcoming it. What I didn't like was the way it was executed. The writing made it seem one way, and gave me something else. There was no build-up, no 'leading' to the way they felt. Like bridges. It was just a bunch of cliffs and I was expected to feel the connection with the imaginary rope line strung across.

britney spears kim kardashian no thank you

Overall, the reading experience was a solid 2.5/3 out of 5 for me only because of my issues with the way it was painted for me. It wasn't a very good first impression, and we all know how important those are when it's all we're given at a time. However, the story itself (plot, writing style, characters) was pretty good, which is why it's a 3.5-4 out of 5. I liked them and their chemistry a lot, and although the sex sets my kindle on fire, I would've liked it more if their relationship was actively engaged in other things besides the physical attraction. The ending certainly didn't do that for me.

reaction bb tee hee

This was a really good book. Fast paced with no nonsense like the sex between Taryn and Mason. I liked the feeling it gave off, professional but still dirty enough to be enticing with all the seriousness of being a mercenary. I loved the writing and the build up/ build down to a possible life of Happily Ever After. The anxiety, self-doubt yet endless optimism of dealing with human emotions and pride kept things interesting. If not for the good things outweighing the bad, I would have had a harder time reading this. I shed a few tears at what they went through and the fears they had of no longer being loved or wanted beyond a few bangs on the furniture.

And mmm-mmmm-mmmmm, were there a great deal of good fucks on the furniture, half of them not even belonging to them-

yes yas happy excitement

Despite it being about a hitman with a family left behind, I enjoyed seeing it go a little deeper with the backstory of what happened, and how it all mounted up to this big issue of being gone the last ten years. If I'm going to be honest, I wouldn't know how to feel after being reconnected with someone I spent half a decade mourning over, especially with a child. But shit, I'd like to think I'd at least be grateful enough to get what most widows PRAY to have: their loved one returned to them.

It was overall entertaining, with a LOT of hot domineering scenes (okay not that much but DAAAYUMMMM YES ZADDY) and some tear-jerkers, a great amount of suspense in the end that ended just right, and a big HEA.

Definite recommend, for those who love the complications and blessings we all know and love to hate when it comes to dealing with mistakes, heartache and second chances.

reaction lads pretty good

This was pretty good. It was an immediate hit-off with Willow and Cash for me, but her journey of de-victimizing herself was a bitter pill to swallow. A lot of it got to me, making the experience sometimes depressing, though Cash was always there to help her get back up on her feet. His own version to helping her was also something to get used to, but not something terrible. It felt like he had to teach her to live without chains, while at the same time, was putting his own on her. A sticky situation, I think, when dealing with an abused wife and the guy helping happens to be an alpha male who needs to have her.

I liked the flow of writing, though the therapist definitions throughout the story distracted me from the story a bit at times... the suspense of a horrible man like Greg kept me reading more, and the connection between the couple was interesting. Some of the other characters were a little two-dimensional considering they were Cash's friends, but overall it was a pretty good read.

Better than the first. The characters were a little more complex, though I suspect it was due to their lives being continuously threatened by a nightmare that wouldn't go away. Willow's grown from the doormat Greg beat her into, but she still struggles a bit, wondering if she really is exercising freedom or trading old chains for better ones. Ha! Totally called it. This confusion stems from being had by two completely different men, and I feel that it'll be up to her to feel the difference.

Cash is a complex character for me, mostly because he can be so rough and intense, but he's got the mind of a professional, and at the same bloody time, he can near sob at the story of a poor victim who'd been through more than he'd ever wish for on another person. I personally couldn't feel his tears because the story didn't seem that horrifying to me, or at least not so much that it'd send a hard-ass like him to soft sobs. Then again, maybe he can't handle it because it's her. Or I'm just a real bitch right now... Anyway, I had a bit of a hard time pinning him because of instances like this, but the story was still overall entertaining.

This final installment ended the series pretty well. Cash and Willow came out stronger than when they first started, and I liked the romance aspect, very interesting when you think about it. I personally had a hard time getting into this only because of how intense Cash was with her. I thought someone would be less intimidating to a victim of abuse, but in the end it worked out. What do I know? The action part left me a little wanting (it's the ending) because it felt anti-climatic despite all the bullets, but it was still entertaining.

If it weren't for the fact that it was a full set and I didn't have to wait for the stories to come out, the cliffhangers would've totally killed me. It humored me, made me laugh and tear a bit, and it also brought out bouts of frustration where the cops were concerned. Love a book that makes me feel multiple things with an overall good ending.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon thank you jimmy fallon tonight show nbc

I am literally obsessed with this book right now. Every page and point and scene was so mind-blowing amazing like holy shitballs Batman. I have a fascination for carnies and anytime I stumble upon an author's work, my inner bookwyrm gets giddy with excitement. A few times I've been let down for different reasons, but I was not disappointed with this.

My #1 love so far is RS Black's Night series (she combines carnies with demons HELLZ YEAH) and I love Jaye's Magic Carnival series about as much as I love Pandora and her naughty, horrid shenanigans. If anything this is like the sunny version of what perverse love Black has got me addicted to. But I'm totally rambling about another book so I'm going to stop right now.

Amaryllis - Rilla - Jolly is a young woman who just lost her father, and suddenly she's given all these difficult tasks to tackle. She's a strong woman suffering through loss, so it's not like she's incompetent, but the fact that her own family were already thinking of hearing out a competitor for her birthright as Ringmaster was just-

les miserables les mis it hurts eponine this was really ouch

I just couldn't, with them. How dare they betray her like that??? They were supposed to be a tight family, yet there they were, saying she wasn't strong enough? Like, shit! She just lost her dad! Ya'll are scared and we get it, but sticking your head in the sand wasn't the way to go.

*sighs* But at the same time, they had some merit. Rilla was so concentrated on The Gift and was kinda spazzing around that, well, they did need a strong leader. They needed someone to bring them all back together from the loss of a Ringmaster and see that they did have hope. The people of Carnival needed someone to lift them, and for that I can forgive them their brash way of throwing her under the bus. I'm totally fine.

bye bitch goodbye pocahontas gtfo

The plot was interesting, mostly because it wasn't easy to figure out. At times I thought I had it down with the way some people were acting, but towards the end, a few tale-tell signs were there. It was equally as heartbreaking.

bert tv meme shocked sesame street

Jaye wrote this fan-fucking-tastically. I was involved in Rilla and Jack's day-to-day, and I totally cried whenever the loss of her father came up. :( Her low self-esteem and constant battle with relinquishing her hold on being Ringmaster was a bit of a strain and half the time I wish it'd been cut to keep down the depression and headaches, but I just skimmed it if it got too much. Cause seriously. There's only so much depression I can take before I'm clawing my own eyes out, wishing she'd grow a better vulva and woman up.

But it worked with her situation, showing that she was in a real pickle. The time couldn't have been worse for her to take over the carnival, so it made sense to see her come across all these road blocks. Didn't make it any easier, but it worked out in the end.

Now... Jack Knight.

beyonce lips lick lick lips
A++ for the sex Jackanapes

Jackanapes - Jack - Knight. His introduction was perfection. He's an outsider who wants nothing to do with the freaks his dad has yearned to return to, but I think my favorite part was falling for him because Rilla did. Through her eyes, I saw him get hotter by the chapter and- wow. haha. Seeing his disposition go through such change was just as entertaining as the plot, if not more (I'm a hopeless romantic). I loved how he fell for the Carnival as much as I love it, but most of all I just loved watching him change towards the carnies and Rilla. XD

He was a total sneaky little prick, turning the others against Rilla to gain his father a lead in the competition, but then we see that he's just uptight and horny (sorry haha) and mainly looking out for his dad and then it's like, "Can you blame the dude?" So of course it then becomes a tennis match because I can't tell whose side to choose but at the same time it morphs into something more than a mere 'who can piss longer' and it's like-

faint ivonne coll season 1 jane the virgin 1x02

Intense. Alluring. Pure entertainment. Magical. There aren't enough words to describe what this book is, or what it did to me. The writing was great in delivering the carny love, and the POVs of Jack and Rilly were a great way to get the whole experience. I loved seeing both sides to the story. Jaye gave the feeling that I'd always belonged, and at the same time, I got introduced to the crew right along with Jack. It really was like the best of both worlds.

The carnies all had their own personalities and got under my skin more than once, but it gave them depth. I certainly suspected a few of them as the saboteur. Christoph, Garth, Alf, Viktor, Tami, they were all parts of Carnival that really made things feel more real. But seriously, on top of the romance and the heartache and fear and anticipation, Jaye did the BEST at creating Carnival, the spirit of the carnies' home. It was one creative thing after another, making things more uniquely beautiful and magical and I just turned into a kid every time they put on a show. I fucking loved it.

This is a definite recommend. If you love carnies and fantasy and some good detective work, this book is fucking BAE. You will regret not reading it. The author's writing was great, I think I only found two technical errors (trust me, that's great right now) and the story kept me intrigued. My emotions were all over the place, but in the end, I was always left feeling like a punter. I did more than read a book. I was treated to a show, and I left the big tent with memories I'll not be forgetting in the near future.

Or ever.

Highland Barbarian (Highlander 1)

Death and Deception...

Meredith MacAlpin, Scottish noblewoman, is kidnapped at the altar by infamous Highland Barbarian, Brice Campbell, and spirited away to his fortress in the Highlands. It is rumored that he is the one who has killed her people in a series of raids.

Brice Campbell is desperate to prove his innocence and bring peace to his people but when he kills the wrong man, his enemy vows revenge.

Can enemies become lovers? Is love strong enough to defy even death?

This wasn't bad. I love anything with highlanders, and this story was really enticing with the whole kidnapping ordeal turning into something more elaborate. Her time with him hooked me in because they come from such different backgrounds, but essentially, they're the same inside and that's why they feel so drawn to the other. I also loved their interaction with the rest of his people in the keep. The queen was a saucy thing, especially when it came to her games. I've got to say, that's one of my favorite things about this story. Her mischievous ways really made it more interesting between Meredith and Brice, at all parts of the book.

The flow was pretty good and kept my interest peeked,  but a few times the character's gullibility brought up bouts of frustration. It'd ruin my overall satisfaction with everything else, mostly because she's such a smart and strong woman; for Meredith to not understand what a halfwit prick is up to, makes me feel like I didn't connect with her like I thought I had. Their romance was sweet and thrilling because I didn't know where it was going to go, what with them both being leaders with their own weight in responsibilities.

One scene bugs me, and it's when the bad guy comes in one last time. It just didn't seem very realistic because he, a hunted man all over the country by order of the queen, somehow manages to sneak into the queen's own guest quarters....? How is that even possible? The only excuse I can think to dismiss this is that the queen isn't as heavily guarded as I assumed. Or he's sneakier than I thought...? O.o

Her adventure with the 'barbarians' in their home was great to read and it's an overall recommend.

This thing is freaking amazing. Once I started, I couldn't put it down and, chapter after chapter, I kept thinking about how crazy it was that everything fed to me felt so... true.

Makes me wonder if we really are in a game.

Zack is a top gamer, and in his world, kids don't go to school. They play games. The first few years are free like public school, but once you flunk out, you don't get a do-over. Instead, you get sent to the government schools, one of the worse things you could sentence yourself to, if not an eternity in hell via la cuchilla. As his times nears, Zack goes in for one last game before he graduates: as a 'well-rounded citizen' or a dropout, no one knows. Except for maybe one person...

This whole concept of us (the readers) being in a simulation makes for an interesting conversation. According to Zack's sponsor, we're all gamers under the age of eighteen playing Life and learning skills to better ourselves for the real world. Why play castle crashers when we could live a life that we ourselves can make for our own? When we're working and finding ways to better ourselves, why wouldn't it be worth it, when we can transfer all our earnings into cash once we 'wake up'? For Zack, he's ready to do that one last run a little differently. He doesn't want to just go all in anymore, he wants to make a difference. We wants to wake everyone up.

Global Entertainment limitless oh no gasp jake mcdorman

It's a bunch of comparisons you can't help but make as you read this, learning of the glitches and betas and figuring out that they're ghosts and angels, demons and those little voices in your head that tell you what to do. What you shouldn't do. Or what you really want to do but can't.

This was a well written book. The flow was great, and although it was a steady pace, the anticipation was intense enough to make things interesting. What would've been a boring read captivated me to know more about this virtual reality, this game that we all seem to be living in without realizing. And who doesn't love a good conspiracy?

It's suspenseful. It's romantic. It'll definitely make you think. Definite recommend.

When I Hurt (Russian Stepbrother Romance #2)

When I get mad, I say all sorts of things, even secrets that I'm supposed to keep.

When I get frightened, I find myself lying, doing and saying anything just so I won't give him a reason to leave me.

But when I get hurt, oh when I really get hurt -

It's not because I'm crying and hurting over him.

The gorgeous Russian celebrity who's also my stepbrother-
And now, he's the man I've blackmailed into being my lover.

When I get hurt, it's only because I was the one who caused him pain.

I was the one who broke his heart.

I did it because I love him, and for that I don't mind if i keep getting hurt.

Hell's Kitchen omg oh my god food fox

Holy shit. Like, holy shit, this is a shit ton better than the first! I didn't think it could get better, but somehow it did! The plot turned more elaborate with a new variable (grr) involved, some shit went down, and- ugh. This time, Ms. Tee gives no mercy.

It started with two of the brothers at a public event, showing face and playing the good role of what they front as a strong and solid family with their heads screwed on right. Vassi and Misha have a little heart to heart, but it's utterly frightening because Misha....  dot dot dot.....

anime what scared confused shocked

NNOOO!!! He can't know it already, the fucking book didn't even start yet! But does he really know, or is Vassi just being paranoid? Am I wishfully thinking that he knows nothing???? Ugh. T_T Fast-forward to the first chapter, and we get the forbidden hotness that Ms. Tee just does so deliciously! Vassi and Seri are in class, okay? Class. And what happens? She gives him a fucking handjob under the desk!!!! And he comes with the lights ON!!! I won't go into detail about the rest of their fucking-hot-as-hell shenanigans, but HOLY SHIT BATMAN.

Seri's new problem just got a lot bigger, dealing with her secret being discovered and her "plan" to keep it hidden from everyone else. She and Vassi had enough problems as it was, but add on even more confusion and miscommunication, and you get a horribly heart-twisting story about a girl too stubborn to let go, and a man who will do anything to keep from getting hurt.

It started off a bit rocky for me but quickly smoothed out to something romantically thrilling, one filled with drama and horrible chest pains that just won't stop, even after the book's finished. And speaking of endings-

sad crying upset anne hathaway devastated

OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. The ending completely tore my heart out. And impressed me. And slightly made me sick. But at the same time made me think, "Dayuuum, girl!" So many emotions with this T_T The most that lingers, however, is the one of being extremely impressed because I didn't see it coming, but at the same time, it's exactly the type of thing I crave to read about! Like, how many women do you even come across playing that role?!?!? None for me so far so- BAM! BOOYAH!

Seri's seriously one of Ms. Tee's more hardcore chicks BEFORE the bad shit goes down. I like her immensely for her aggressive attitude; many of this author's women fight for the love they want, but with Seri, she's more crass than some of the others. XD Best part about her is that she's still pleasantly naive in some ways. haha

It's taboo romance filled with miscommunication (aren't they all?) that drives you to believe all will be well. With scenes to make you weep and scream in more ways than one, When I Hurt is definitely a book to check out. Definitely a book to check out...
